Q:

So Tiny E when is the album coming out?

A:

You tell me. I am saving my pennies, and working on material to record a master worthy of licensing to a major label. If you are someone who can short circuit that process let me know. Or, if you are so inspired that you can let a rep from your favorite label know that you love Tiny E, and you think every one else will too - go for it. Until then enjoy the freebies at the audio section of this site.

Q:

So Tiny E, what's with the name? I mean, I don't know if you've noticed, but you are not exactly Tiny.

A:

Where did I get my nomme de guerre, "Tiny E"? Well — The story goes something like this.....

Long before Phil Vassar was famous, he had a Nashville night club called the Hard Days Night Club. At this club he had a sax player in his band named Erik, which he would call a great number of things, but among them was Big E. Now this sax player being a sensitive type (especially about his corpulence) let Phil know he was going to get a complex if he kept calling him Big E, so he said "Ok, you're Tiny E!". Phil used the name for this sax player in the show for the next night, and it stuck.

E knew it was all over a few weeks later when a booking agent called looking for Tiny E —not knowing who this Erik person was.

Q:

How do you get those High Notes?

A:

Practice. Seriously, practice. Basically work the harmonic series on each note of the sax until it becomes second nature, and your wind support is solid as a rock. You will find the appropriate fingerings for your sax, and your way of playing.

Q:

Tiny E I looked at the calendar, but when are you going to be performing in my town?

A:

When do you want me and do you know a venue willing to pay? If you know of a venue in your locale that features the type of music you've heard me perform here, let them know about the site, and have them inquire as to my booking information.

Q:

Tiny E, I am getting married, I heard you've done music for weddings Would you write a piece for mine?

A:

Congratulations, and yes I have written for friends' weddings. At this point, I try to keep those as special gifts for close friends. The amount of work, and care that goes into one would make it prohibitively expensive to offer.

I am a part of one of the highest rated Wedding/Party bands in Nashville --  so if you would like me to play at your wedding reception check out the Top Tier Band.  Make sure to ask for the "Tiny E" option.
